PATRICK (Pat) ALLOCCA passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 76 years old.
Pat was the loving son of the late Amelia and Joseph Allocca.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Mary Ellen Allocca; their son, Patrick Allocca; their daughter, Elizabeth Sacco and her husband, Christopher Sacco; his cherished granddaughters, Ashley and Samantha Sacco of Gilbert, AZ. He is also survived by his loving brother, James Allocca and his wife, Anne Marie and their daughter, his beloved niece, Jacqui; his sister-in-law, Susan Gerbino and her husband, Ken Lampert and his beloved nephew, Daniel.
Pat worked for thirty years as a window clerk for the United States Postal Service, Bath Beach, NY. He had great knowledge of and love for cars, so after retiring, he worked for Ray Catena Mercedes in Edison, NJ for ten years.
He was a proud disabled U.S. Army Veteran, injured in Vietnam while serving from 1966 to 1968.
In his leisure time, he loved spending time with his wife and family; being with his grandchildren; seeing friends; learning about history and following his favorite teams, the METS and GIANTS. He was admired for the way he coped with his many years on dialysis and will be missed by all who were privileged to know him.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, September 21, 2023, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm, at The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, New Jersey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 22nd at 10:00 am at St. Bartholomew R.C. Church in East Brunswick. Interment will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, For directions, please visit our "Services" page.
