HILLSBOROUGH - JOANNE GALL passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023, at her residence in Hillsborough, after a brief battle with brain cancer. She was 76 years old.
Born in Manhattan, NY, to Milton and Josephine (née Harrison) Blum, she resided there for 10 years before moving to Fort Lee, NJ. For many years she made her home in Hackettstown, where she raised her sons, Steve & Jeff. Later in life, romance blossomed into love, and on her birthday in 2021 she married Rich Gall. The last two years, the happiest of her life, were with Rich. They were finally able to move into their newly constructed dream home in Hillsborough last year.
Prior to retiring in 2005, she was the heart and soul (aka Office Manager) of Washington Mechanical for more than 25 years.
In her spare time, Joanne loved to work with crafts, floral arranging, card making, jewelry making and more. She loved music and dancing. Granny embraced life's uncertainty with her personal motto - "Life is uncertain... eat dessert first!" If you asked her how she was, her answer was invariably "Just ducky!". Joanne was kind and caring, stubborn and determined, and always ready to share a cup of tea or coffee with friends and especially her grandchildren. She was a "tough broad" who found joy in everything and lived life with humility and purpose.
Joanne is predeceased by her parents, Milton and Josephine Blum; her brothers, David Blum, and Charlie Blum; and her sister, Eileen Blum.
Joanne is survived by her husband, Richard Gall; her sons, Steve Bossen and his wife, Nicole Cechony, of Boonton, Jeff Bossen and his wife, Cassandra (née Brown) Bossen, of Middlesex; and her grandchildren, Tyler, Andrew, Allie, and Carlie.
Cremation will be private.

Oh my sweet Joanne. Where do we begin. You are the best thing that happened to us here at QueensGate. You held court in events here at QG. Thanks to Covid you and I became closer and would meet nightly at "the Firepit" Then Rich came along and you were in love. Pat and I have enjoyed our friendship with both of you. I only wish we had more time together so you could show me how to craft among many other things we talked about doing. We promise to stay in touch with Rich. May God Bless You and give you the Peace that you deserve. We will miss you. We Love you!

To everyone whose hearts were touched by the loss of a wonderful loving, caring, sharing lady.
When you think of Joanne, a smile instantly comes across your face, for there was some type of crazy memory to remember your experience with her. Than the tears, but we know she's at Peace and with those who left before her that greeted her with open wings. We love you Joanne, thank you for making our lives happy ones. R.I.P. Girlfriend ox
