MONROE TOWNSHIP - LOUIS A. DIMEGLIO passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center in Plainsboro. He was 90 years old.
Born in Princeton, to Luigi and Michela (née Boccanfuso) DiMeglio, he resided in New York City before settling down in New Brunswick for 47 years. He has resided in Monroe Township since 2002. Louis was known as "Louie" to all of his family and friends.
Prior to retiring in 1999, he was Shipping Manager for Hoffman Equipment in Piscataway where he worked for 20 years. Previous to Hoffman, he was Parts Manager at Freedman GMC in New Brunswick for more than 25 years.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Louie was a parishioner of St. Bartholomew R.C. Church in East Brunswick.
In his younger years, Louie was a sought-after softball pitcher and later enjoyed tennis, golf, and bocce. He was considered a natural athlete. He also served as the President of the Clearbrook Italian American Club for the past 20 years.
Louie was predeceased by his wife, Arline DiMeglio; his brothers, William, Michael, and John DiMeglio and his sisters, Theresa Castellano and Maria DiMeglio.
Surviving are his sons, Louis and his wife, Cindy, of Millsboro, DE and John DiMeglio of Morristown and his grandchildren, Louis John Jr. and his fiancé, Karen Rivera, and Sara DiMeglio.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 9:15 am at the funeral home, with a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bartholomew R.C. Church, East Brunswick, followed by interment at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. For directions, please visit our "Services" page.
