EDISON -ALLEN A. SABO passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023, at Care One at The Highlands in Edison. He was 76 years old. Born in New Brunswick, to John and Rose (nee Vince) Sabo-Arnold, he was a lifelong resident of Edison. He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, John; his sister Dorothy, and his beloved wife Sally (née Kenney) Sabo.
Allen graduated from Edison High School and later joined the Middlesex County Park Police, where he served for 10 years before transferring to the Edison Police Department. He spent the final 30 years of his police career in Edison. He retired in 2008.
He always spoke highly of his membership in the NJ State Policeman's Benevolent Association, Local 75 Edison, and their many charitable activities and community service events throughout the years.
He became a member of the New Jersey Police Honor Legion in 1981 and remained an active member of the
Executive Board until his passing and served as president of the organization from 1994-1995.
He was a true friend to those in the Indian Community and always offered a helping hand to those in need.
Al's larger than life personality, left those that met him feeling like you knew him for a lifetime. His warmth and generosity will be forever remembered by his large circle of family and friends.
In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, hunting and collecting military memorabilia.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, from 9:00 to 10:00 am, at The BRUNSWICK
MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, with a 11 :00 am Mass of Christian Burial at St.
Augustine of Canterbury, Kendall Park. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick. For
