EAST BRUNSWICK - MARY ROMAGNA passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Complete Care at Park Place in Monmouth Junction. She was 89 years old.

Born in Linden, to Leroy Woodward and Catherine (née Burns) Hilyard, she was one of eight children and grew up on a farm in South Brunswick, moved to New Brunswick, before settling in East Brunswick 65 years ago.

She met her husband, Roy while working at Acme Markets. He was a butcher and she was a meat wrapper. They were together for 54 years before his passing in 2011.

Once they started a family, Mary dedicated her life to raising her children, this included taking on the role of a Camp Fire Girl Group Leader while her daughters were growing up.

Mary was also an active parishioner at Corpus Christi RC Church in South River, where she worked Friday Night Bingo for many years. In her later years, she enjoyed attending the programs at the East Brunswick Senior Center.

In her leisure time, Mary enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially to Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia and Atlantic City.

Surviving are her daughters, Patricia of Monmouth Junction, NJ and Theresa of Columbus, NJ; her four nieces, Karen Horman Remington, Joanne Bianca, Donna Bianca, and Lisa Bianca, and her nephew, James Romagna.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 9:30am to 10:30am, at The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, where a funeral service will be held at 10:30am.
