MONROE TOWNSHIP - WILLIAM E. CHILLSCYZN, SR. passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was 80 years old.
Born in Monroe Township, to Nickolas Chillscyzn, Sr. and Marjorie (Howland) Chillscyzn, he lived in South River for several years before returning to Monroe Township nearly 50 years ago.
William was active in the Spotswood Reformed Church. He was a plumber by trade and worked for Charles Plumbing & Heating Company for over 30 years before his retirement. In his leisure time, he enjoyed restoring antique cars and attending car shows with his brother Bobby and nephew Robert. He also loved spending time with family and friends. Anyone who knew "Uncle Bill" could clearly see how much he loved his family and friends by his willingness to sacrifice to help any of them without hesitation. He will be missed by all.
William was predeceased by his son, William E. Chillscyzn, Jr.; his father, Nickolas, Sr.; his mother, Marjorie; his sister, Ruth Parent; his brothers, Thomas Chillscyzn, Sr. and Nickolas Chillscyzn, Jr., and his former spouse, Judith Chillscyzn.
Surviving are his daughter, Carol and her husband, Joseph Oates III, of Neptune; grandchildren, Amber Sears and her husband, Austin, Kaitlyn Rochelle and her husband, Louis, Joseph Oates IV, and Fallon Oates; his sisters, Lillian Albecker of Monroe Township, Evelyn Seda and her husband, Ed, of Houston, TX, Betty Gerhartz and her husband, Wayne, of Bridgeville, DE, his brother, Robert Chillscyzn and his wife, Annamarie, of Whiting, and many nieces and nephews.
