EAST BRUNSWICK - MARIE LOUISE WILSON (née TYLER) passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021, at the Reformed Church Home in Old Bridge. She was 95 years old.

Born in Newark, she was raised in Elizabeth and graduated from Batton High School. Before raising a family, she loved her time working in New York City for the Passport Office and the Norwegian Consulate. One of her duties as a young secretary was to escort major celebrities of the time (such as Frank Sinatra) down the back stairs after getting their passports.

Marie moved to East Brunswick 65 years ago, making a home filled with love for her family. She was a very active parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, Old Bridge. She was a member of their Rosary Society where she served a term as recording secretary as well as being active in the PTA. She also volunteered at the religious articles store housed in the St. Vincent DePaul Thrift Shop. Over the years, she volunteered on many projects with the Raritan Valley Workshop and Camp Daisy in East Brunswick.

She was a devoted mother, who spent her days raising and caring for her six children. In her later years, Marie delighted in visits from family and friends at her home. She loved to travel to new places and was always ready for a spontaneous shopping trip or an opportunity to go out for lunch.

Marie was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Richard, in 2010, as well as her brother, John Tyler, her sisters, Regina Schweitzer and Barbara Ujcic, Barbara's husband, Vincent, and her son-in-law, Ron Crescenzo.

Surviving are her six children, Patricia Crescenzo of East Brunswick, Kathleen King of Alexandria, VA, Marjorie Sherbert (Robert) of Howell, Richard (Raymond Becker) of Collingswood, Janet of Howell and Paula Sokolowsky (Jim) of Spotswood; sister-in-law, Barbara Tyler, of Bluffton, SC; six grandchildren, Kelly, Stacey, Robert, Matthew, Brian, and Kevin; three great-grandchildren, Craig, Ashlyn and Sean, and many loving nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 10, 2022, at 10:15 am, at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, 1 St. Thomas Place, Old Bridge, under the direction of The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, East Brunswick. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
