Jhisella Anne V. Domingo, 45, of Piscataway, New Jersey passed away on May 4, 2021. Born in Manila Philippines, Jhisella immigrated to the United States at the age of 10. She was a graduate of Our Lady of Peace School, Mother Seton Regional High School and Boston College. She worked as Vice President at JPMorgan Chase Bank for nine years, and recently in the past decade as Human Resources Manager at IEEE Foundation, Inc.

Jhisella is survived by her parents, Jose C. Domingo, Jr. and Jovita V. Domingo; sisters, Jhanice V. Domingo and Joanne D. Lesaca; brothers-in-law, Terence P. Calulo and Carl Lesaca; nieces, Gisel Domingo Calulo, Ellie June Lesaca and Mara Grace Lesaca; and aunt Gundelina D. Villajoaquin.

Jhisella will be lovingly remembered for her infectious laughter, beautiful dimpled smile, the game nights she planned for the family, the delicious meals she prepared with love for family and friends, Korean, cooking and crafting lessons she organized for her nieces, her fondness of K-dramas, and her sweet tooth - she especially loved Lady M cakes, Royce' chocolates and Filipino desserts.

Most of all, Jhisella will be forever remembered for her faith, generosity and service as a devout Catholic. She devoted much of her life to community service through her missionary work with Parish Visitors of Mary Immaculate, ministry with Singles for Christ and life-long support of countless charities. Throughout her last months as she battled cancer, her faith never wavered. She placed her full trust in God, selflessly and gracefully coped with her illness, and always kept a grateful heart. Her family and friends take comfort in knowing that Jhisella was at peace and rejoiced going home to the House of the Lord.

A funeral mass will be celebrated in memory of Jhisella on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 470 Ryders Lane, East Brunswick, New Jersey. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 899 E. Lincoln Avenue, Piscataway, New Jersey. Arrangements were entrusted to The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.

It is never easy to learn of a friend passing on from this life. When I heard of Jhisella's passing, I immediately felt my heart sink to the ground and felt a piece of my heart being broken. You see, Jhisella was loved by so many..

We all met and grew close to each other through Singles for Christ. She was one who truly had a heart for God. She witnessed to it and lived it, not just with her immediate family but even with coworkers and her faith family.

Jhisella had such a big heart, so generous with her time, talent and treasure. Everything she set her eyes on, she excelled and did her best. A natural born leader be it at work and even in community. She took it upon herself to shepherd the flock and nurture/guide all of us and lead us closer to God.

She was strict yet loving. She wasn't afraid to reprimand us so we could follow the right path even if it went against the current culture. Best of all, she led by example. It was apparent in all ways that her true treasure was God. It's not surprising that she is one we could all look up to and aspire to be. She didn't hesitate to heed God's calling in her life even if it meant giving up her earthly comforts.

Jhisella was also an excellent cook. Our household sessions always involved eating in different restaurants and when there were retreats, she served her own creations and it was delicious because she did it with love.

She had this infectious laugh and loved her Kdramas. Jhisella was simple and humble. Her way of life has left an imprint on all our lives.

Even with her passing, she remains to be a leader... leading the way for us to aspire to live out our lives dedicated to God. She suffered from her cross of illness quietly with no complaints. Till the end, she exuded complete surrender to God. We love you, Jhisella. Gone too soon... but heaven has gained another angel. Save a place in heaven for us. Until we meet again.

One could always know when Jhisella was in the room. The word "bright" fits her in more ways than one. Besides her intelligence, there was simply a glow about her, Her goodness of heart shone through her words and actions, through her laughter and smile.

As our light here may appear dimmer in Jhisella's passing, we know that her light joins the heavenly Father's. In the Lord's goodness we share in in the joy of the Resurrection, in eternal communion with Him and, through Him, with one another. We commend Jhisella to eternal peace and joy in the Lord. And we hope that a little bit of her light remain in the hearts of those who know her, and that in God's perfect time, we fully share in the Joy, Peace and Love given to us in Christ alone.
