EAST BRUNSWICK - MARGARET A. (HORVATH) IKO, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021, at St. Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was 86.

Born in New Brunswick, and a graduate of New Brunswick High School, she resided in Somerset before moving to East Brunswick in 2007.

Prior to retiring, in 1991, Margaret was a Lab Technician for Bristol Myers-Squibb, New Brunswick, where she worked for 39 years.

Margaret was a communicant of St. Bartholomew R.C. Church, East Brunswick.

In her leisure time, Margaret enjoyed crocheting baby blankets, scrabble with the family and overnight trips to play the slots in Atlantic City. She was also quite the "crooner" and loved karaoke events at the East Brunswick Senior Center, where she would sing "Together Again" and "Unchained Melody."

Surviving are her son, William Iko and wife Ruth, of East Brunswick; her daughter, Karen Smith and husband George, of Old Bridge; and her five grandchildren, John, Catherine, Matthew, Rebecca and Daniel.

She is reunited now with her sister, Mary Ann Horvath and other family members.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 22nd, at 9:15 AM, at The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bartholomew R.C. Church, 470 Ryders Lane, East Brunswick. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick, NJ.
