MONROE TOWNSHIP- LARAINE (MAZZUCHETTI) KACHEL passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was 78 years old.
Born and raised in Fairview, she resided in North Brunswick where she raised her children. She then moved to Monroe Township 7 years ago to live closer to her daughter.
Prior to retiring, Laraine worked as the Program Coordinator at the East Brunswick Senior Center, Office on Aging for 25 years. She was also a licensed beautician and enjoyed having a consistent group of her "ladies" come to her house every Saturday morning for more than 25 years to have their hair done.
After retiring, to keep herself busy, Laraine worked at her son-in-law's deli, Sal's Roma Deli and Pizzeria of Monroe Township where she was adored by all.
Surviving are her children, Theodore "Ted" Kachel, of Manahawkin, and Andrea Prinzivalli and her husband, Salvatore "Sal", of Monroe Township; brother Lawrence "Larry" Mazzuchetti and wife, Marisa, of Monroe Township, sister-in-law Carol Mueller of New Milford; five grandchildren that she loved deeply: Ryan and Brandon Kachel, and Daniella, Sal, and Giuliana Prinzivalli, as well as Ryan's fiancée, Jenna Mayfield, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Laraine, also known as Meema to many that knew her, was the most Kind-Hearted, Loving, and Independent woman. Not only was she an amazing and selfless mother to her children but also the most loving grandmother to her grandchildren and most loyal and dedicated friend to many. She left an incredible mark on anyone she crossed paths with and will continue to do so, as her legacy lives on.

Laraine was not only a long time tax client but a friend. We enjoyed chatting at the deli and of course I always loved seeing her every year at tax time. Our thoughts and prayers are with Andrea, Ted and the Kachel family as you mourn the loss of your mom.

I really didn’t know Laraine. But my friends Pat and Peggy were very fond of her. Laraine raised a beautiful family and she was a wonderful grandmother. She will be missed by her Family and Friends.
I was so lucky to be able to call Laraine my friend. She was always there for me and never wanted anything in return. Her happiest time was when she was with Andrea, Sal, Ted and her grandchildren. The love they all shared was wonderful to see. I will miss her physical presence but I will always have her I’m my heart. I love you Laraine
Laraine was truly a special person! There was no one like her! She was kind, caring, creative, and always the first one to jump into a project! Laraine acted in a quiet way, always helping out others. She never wanted to be in the spotlight! Andrea, Sal, Teddy, and her grandchildren were so lucky to have such a wonderful Mother and Grandmother. She was so proud of all they became, and adored being with them! I am so grateful that I had Laraine in my life, and will always treasure our times together! Love ya Loraine, Peggy
