HELMETTA - JOHN EDWARD SOCOLOSKI, June 6, 1933 - January 10, 2021.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, John peacefully passed at the age of 87 on January 10, 2021, surrounded by his loving family, comfortably at home.
Prior to his retirement he was self-employed as a scientific Glass Blower, most recently affiliated with Exxon, Mobil, BASF and Rutgers University as well.
John served in the United States Navy as a third class boiler tender on the H.W. Gilmore.
He was predeceased by his mom and dad, a sister and a brother.
He leaves behind his adoring wife of 64 years, Barbara; loving daughter, Michelle Socoloski of Helmetta, devoted son and daughter-in-law, John and Kim Socoloski of Spotswood, and daughter, Lenore Socoloski of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, as well as two incredible grandchildren, John Cameron and Breanna Morgan Socoloski, who he loved dearly. He also leaves behind a brother-in-law, Edward Wittles and his wife, Rosemary, a sister-in-law, Charlotte Pinho and her husband, Frank, and a cousin, Frank San Gicomo and his wife, Janie.
John had a passion for traveling, hunting, fishing and enjoying his private boat for over 30 years, but most of all his favorite time was spent with his family. Family was everything to John.
Cremation will be private under the direction of The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, East Brunswick.

Dear Pop po your the greatest Grandfather a grandchild could ever have. I’ll always remember the great places you took me. From here to Mexico and anywhere in between ..I’ve always received great advice from you and you really helped me though many of my very large life decisions. Thank you for the guitar lessons you helped me get. It was the most awesome skill I could have learned. Dear Pop Pop we will forever miss your beautiful sole no matter what. We will always reflect back on the good times we had and all of the beautiful memories we shared together. Dear Pop God could have never given me a better father we we have been blessed we are so glad that you’re out of your pain but we miss you so bad that our hearts ache.
