Rest in peace dear friend , the memory of you will always live in my heart.
Dot was a good friend and colleague with a great wit. She was a good soul who loved friends and felines. I will miss her physical presence, but her spirit lives on eternally.

Dot was my friend and colleague. There is nothing I can say to express how sad I was when I heard of her passing. Just know you were loved and will never be forgotten.
Rest In Peace,
Dot was a kind, thoughtful and gentle person. She was an avid reader who loved sharing her books and enjoyed sharing stories about the antics of her cat Cali.
Originally from Wisconsin, she remained a loyal fan of the Green Bay Packers. Dot was my friend and I will miss her so very much. May she Rest In Peace. My condolences to her sister Carol, brother Tom and all her friends who loved her.
Dot I will always remember your kindness and the talks we shared.
Oh Mrs. Canino.....what a shock! We will miss you. What a great speech teacher you were and how you teased me because I said "axe" instead of "ask"!
How you informed me that it was regional and how I shirted the issue with that word. You laughed, until one day 18 years ago I surprised you and I said it correctly. You cheered and never gave up hope. Thank you! When you left South River you were truly missed. What a gem of a lady you were. Rest in Peace.
With deepest sympathy,
Monica Harder, Jonathan, Gregory & Benjamin
Dot’s sudden passing will leave a a void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. Quiet but not unnoticed, Dot gave a voice to those who could not speak. She was gentle but powerful in her commitment to those she loved. Always generous in heart and deed, she never expected anything in return. A teacher, colleague and friend, Dot changed the
lives of those who had the honor privilege of knowing her. Rest In Peace
Oh Dot, it saddened me to hear of your passing. We shared so many memories as colleagues and friends through the years. I will always remember your gentleness , kindness, love, and
dedication to your students. It was a privilege working with you and knowing you my friend.
God bless you!

"Aunt Dot" was truly a member of our family. We spent every Christmas eve together, and the fact that she passed away on that day means we will remember her, and she will spend every Christmas eve with us forever.
We will miss her quick wit, and her fudge and cookies. She can rest in peace knowing we found a good home for her kitten Cali, through the Animal Rescue Force she supported for many years.
Rest in peace, Dotsy.
Sweet memories of times together, wish there had been more. Wonderful friend, Class Act! Bless your sweet, kind heart and soul, Dot.
Dot was a gentle, soft spoken, kind person who I had the privilege of working with in the South River School District. She was a caring professional who helped students and I am grateful for knowing her. Rest in Peace Dot Canino.
Dot was not only a very close colleague, she was also a dear, dear friend. I will never forget all that she did for me as a new speech therapist, and I will always remember her kind, gentle, generous and caring ways. She was so good to me and my family, and to so many others.
I will miss our lunch dates and phone conversations. Every Lenox ornament on my tree will bring back such fond memories of Dot.
It saddens me to lose her so unexpectedly. Dot will be dearly missed but always in our hearts.

Gone from our sight but not from our hearts.
I will miss our talks, our Red Hats events and George Street Playhouse trips.
You will always be in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace my friend.

Although Aunt Dot was not related to my husband s family by blood, she was an “Aunt” in every way. She loved and cared for all of us as if we were her family. Everyday, I have so many reminders of Aunt Dot in my home. Every time I use my flatware, when I read books to my boys that she hand picked with purpose, when I look at my wedding picture that’s in a frame that she gave me as a bridal shower gift...and so much more. Most people who knew her, knew she made the best fudge and the most delicious pecan cookies. A few years ago, she gave me both recipes and I will do my best to make her proud! Heaven certainly received an angel when Aunt Dot arrived! We will always love her and miss her.
Dot has been a cherished friend and teaching colleague. We were “book mates” and shared many interests in our retirement. Dot spent her working years as a speech teacher - an effective and kind professional. She was a generous and giving person who will not be forgotten by all those whose lives she touched. May Dorothy Canino Rest In Peace.
We are all saddened by her sudden passing. Dot was a very kind, generous, and caring lady. We enjoyed our trips to NYC to see plays. Lady Dot loved all the lunches and events with the Red Hats. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace my dear friend.
Love, Karen Satterthwaite
