I first met Tom when I started at Berry Global in September of 2016. We soon became very close and talked almost every day. Sometimes we would even talk on the phone after hours and on the weekends to catch up or share a laugh. Tom was promoted to Network Supervisor and became my boss. He took me under his wing and taught me his ways and how to go about certain situations not just at work but also in my personal life. I did not view Tom as just someone who I report to at work, I also viewed him as my best friend. His friendship will be something that I will always cherish. My deepest condolences go out to Tom’s family during this tough time. Love you Tom, you have been a huge impact in my life that I will never forget!
Hey Tom. You had to be the best cause you married my best friend. We worked together not knowing our relationship. Jill my best friend from elementary school. You were a loyal husband and father. Be at peace.
I met at Tom in May 1998 at Captive Plastics and then became Berry Plastics in 2008. We work together for 22 year all together. The funny thing they referred to us as the dynamic duo at Captive days. Of course Tom always wanted to be Batman. We worked hard together as a team and became good friend. We Would always help each other even after Tom was promoted to network supervisor at Berry. We would make time to chat and still would fix issue together. I never got to tell my friend that he made me a better person knowing him. I will never forget his friendship and he will always be with me in My heart. Love you Tom!

To the Blanken family:
I was a co-worker of Tom's for 20 years, and I am so sorry he left us. Tom had such a calm and caring nature, a fun sense of humor, and was a true professional. He was the man so many of his co-workers turned to for help, when they wanted to throw their laptops out the window. His patience and soothing demeanor was displayed many, many times, and I so appreciated his help and support. In our last conversation a few weeks ago, we talked about his health issues, and the many ways that the pandemic was impacting us all. His last comment was how much family matters to him, and how these circumstances drove that point home. My sense is that Tom loved his family very much. I hope your grief will be brief, and fun memories of Tom will soon prevail.
We are all saddened by the news of Tom passing. We enjoyed the times we were with him. If you or Katie need to talk you can always call even eric . We love you both and miss you both. Please take care Love Claire, Eric, Jackie, Eddy and Samantha
