HOLIDAY, FL (FORMERLY OF NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ) - SPIRO DROSOS passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at University Medical Center of Princeton, Penn Medicine in Plainsboro, N.J., surrounded by love and his family. He was 62.
Born in Athens, Greece, he came to the United States in 1974 before settling in North Brunswick with his family twenty-seven years ago. In 2014, he moved to Holiday, FL.
Prior to retiring in 2009, he was a truck driver with Shaw Industries, Cranbury, NJ, where he worked for many years.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Jennie (Agugliaro) Drosos; his three daughters, Julia Drosos Foster and her husband, Brian Foster, of Plainsboro, Victoria Drosos of North Brunswick, and Crystala Drosos of North Brunswick; his son, Christos Drosos of North Brunswick; his two grandsons Nathan and Lucciano, with a granddaughter on the way, arriving December 2019.
Spiro, a hardworking man, always provided for his family. He would do anything for his children and those he held dear to him. Spiro was a happy man with a great smile and a wonderfully twisted sense of humor. He loved all of his friends and enjoyed spending time with them, his family, riding his motorcycle, and watching the sunsets on the beach. Spiro loved his grandchildren and was so proud of all of his children.
Spiro was involved in a serious motorcycle accident on April 6, 2019 in Holiday, FL. His family transferred him back home to N.J. in July when he was strong enough to travel, so that they could be close to him and take care of him. Spiro put up a good fight, but the injuries he sustained in his accident were too much for him to overcome in this life.
Spiro will always be a miracle and a hero to his family and friends.
And he said to him, "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise." Luke 23:43
Friends and family may visit on Friday, August 23, 2019, from 5:00-9:00 PM, at The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, where a service will take place at 7:00 PM.
Family is asking for any of his friends that he rode with here in N.J. to bring their bikes so that they can line them up outside the funeral home to honor Spiro.
Cremation will be private. For directions to the funeral home, please see the 'Services' tab.
