EAST BRUNSWICK - SALVATORE "STEVE" PEPE passed away on Monday, August 12, 2019, at his residence in East Brunswick. He was 92.
Born in the Bronx, NY, he resided in New York City, attended the Juilliard School of Music, before finally settling down in East Brunswick 48 years ago.
Prior to retiring in 1990, he was the General Manager of The East Brunswick Chateau, where he worked for 30 years.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, having served as a Seaman First Class, for four years. He was awarded the Victory Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign Medal.
Salvatore was predeceased by his brothers, Salvatore Pepe and Anthony (Tony) DelGuidice, and his sisters, Helen Pepe and Gilda Buffa.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Josephine (Ciulla) Pepe; his sister, Amalia D'Antonio, 100 years of age, of Brooklyn, NY; his three sons, Gerard Pepe, of East Brunswick, Christopher Pepe and his wife, Jill, of Millstone, Steven Pepe and his wife, Nicole, of East Brunswick; his daughter, Julie Clarke and her husband, Timothy, of East Brunswick, and 15 grandchildren, who lovingly called him "Pop Pop".
Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, from 5:00 - 9:00 pm, at The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, where a service will be held at 7:00 pm. Cremation will be private. For directions to the funeral home, please visit the "Services" page.

Mrs. Pepe and Family - Please accept my most sincere condolences on the loss of a wonderful guy.
