HOUSTON, TX, formerly of EAST BRUNSWICK - HELEN KLUSKA (MATERA) passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at Harvest Home, in Tomball, TX. She was 97.
Born in Elizabeth, she resided there until relocating to East Brunswick, where she lived most of her life. She moved to Houston, TX, in 2018.
Prior to retiring, she was an assistant manager at Macy's. She was also a parochial school teacher for 15 years.
She was a U.S. Army veteran, having served as a nurse during World War II.
Helen was predeceased by her husband, Walter, in 1967; her son, Walter, in 2017, and her granddaughter, Lori, in 2015.
Surviving are her daughter, Valerie Eagan and her husband, Richard, of Houston, TX; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Catherine, and three great-grandchildren, Zachary, Chelsea, and Charles.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019, at 8:45 am, at The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, with a 9:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bartholomew R.C. Church, East Brunswick. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
