EAST BRUNSWICK - DIANE LYNN (BELLACH) DeVIVO passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick surrounded by her family. She was only 58 years old.

Born on Staten Island, NY, she grew up in upstate New York and graduated from Minisink Valley High School in 1978. She moved back to Staten Island to start a family before moving to East Brunswick 29 years ago.

Diane was an Administrative Assistant for 20+ years, most recently at Middlesex County College in Edison, NJ.

A devoted, loving mother, her memory lives on through her best friend, Joseph A. DeVivo; son, Joseph W. DeVivo and his fiancée, Carolanne Restivo, of East Brunswick; two daughters, Jessica L. DiVirgilio and her husband, Michael, of Middletown, and Jamie L. DeVivo-Miller and her husband, Michael, of Jersey City; and three grandchildren, Michael Joseph DiVirgilio (6), Nicholas Joseph DiVirgilio (3) and Brooke Madeline Miller (4 months).

She was predeceased by her parents, William and Madeline (Van Pelt) Bellach, her sister, Marilyn Duro and brother, James Bellach. She is survived by two brothers, William and Richard Bellach, and sister, Elaine Lynch.

Diane was an amazing, strong woman who battled and beat Leukemia in 2005. Sadly, she was diagnosed with lung cancer in March of 2019. After fighting the best she could, Diane passed surrounded by all her loved ones. Memorial contributions may be made to Stand Up To Cancer at https://standuptocancer.org/

I knew Diane and her family through EB soccer where our daughters played together. Diane, always a smile on her face, always cheering on Jamie and the girls, always so proud of her children, always told it like it was. Our world is a little darker now.
