EAST BRUNSWICK - MARY B. (KELLIHER) MURPHY passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton. She was 89.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she resided in Staten Island, NY, before moving to East Brunswick 30 years ago.
After graduating high school, she worked for IBM before leaving to become a housewife and mother. Prior to retiring, she was a retail associate for Macy's Department Store Company in Staten Island, NY.
Mary was a Communicant of St. Francis Xavier R.C. Church, Brooklyn, NY, St. Rita's R.C. Church, Staten Island, NY and St. Bartholomew R.C. Church, East Brunswick.
She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent, in 1998, and her brother, Denis Kelliher, in 2015.
Surviving are her two daughters, Maureen Manning and her husband, Fred, of East Windsor, and Deborah of Bordentown; two sons, Thomas and his wife, Mary, of Farmingdale and Stephen and his husband, Kevin Pearson, of Baltimore, MD; brother, Michael Kelliher and his wife, Eileen, of Robbinsville; sister, Margaret Herbert of Kendall Park; ten grandchildren Colleen, Kevin, Erin, Michael, Kaitlin, Kathleen, Megan, Brendan, Maximilian and Emily; two great-grandchildren Jace and Reese; along with many nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit on Wednesday, March 13th, from 5-8 PM and Thursday, March 14th, from 9-10:15 AM at the funeral home. For directions, please visit the "Services" page.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019, at 10:15 AM, at The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, with a 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bartholomew R.C. Church, East Brunswick. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
