OLD BRIDGE - JERRY R. COLAVITO died on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. He was 88.
Born in Jersey City, he relocated to Old Bridge 50 years ago.
Prior to retiring he was an airplane mechanic for Trans World Airlines, Newark.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Korean war.
Mr. Colavito was a Communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, Old Bridge.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Bridget "Betty" (Flynn); his three sons, Michael and his wife, Maria, of Spotswood, Gerard of South Bound Brook, and Dominick and his wife, Elena, of Bangor, PA; two sisters, Margaret Colavito of Jersey City, and Sister Rosemary Colavito of Florham Park, and two grandchildren, Benjamin and Anthony.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 31, 2018, at 8:15 AM, at The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by a 9:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, Old Bridge. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
