Monroe Township- Don Babish died Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Centra State Medical Center, Freehold. He was 85.
Born in Oakland, NJ he was the youngest of 6. Don graduated from Collingswood High School went on to attend evening college at Drexel University and Widener University where he earned a degree in Engineering.
He began his employment at The Reading Seashore Line as a Switchman and then as a Draftsman, upon leaving the railroad he worked for various companies as an Electrical Design Consultant. One of the many highlights of his career was designing the lighting for the Commodore Barry Bridge.
He was a skilled boater, very good golfer and avid Eagles fan who lived to see his team win the 2018 Super Bowl.
Don is survived by his wife Dorothy, his family; Paul, Beth, James, Kyle, Scott, Kirsten, Kelsey, Kathryn and his sister Helen.
His goodness touched so many lives and he will forever be in our hearts.
Funeral services are private under the direction of The Brunswick Memorial Home.
