SAYREVILLE - JEAN HOGARTH died on Friday, May 11, 2018, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was 84.
Born in Haiti, he emigrated to the U.S. in 1954, settling in Manhattan, NY, before moving to Sayreville fifty years ago.
Prior to retiring in 1998, Mr. Hogarth was lead mechanic at the Sunshine Biscuit Company in Sayreville, where he worked for 43 years.
He was predeceased by his wife, Martha Rousseaux, in 2012, and by his daughter, Elsie Hogarth, in 2016.
Surviving are his daughter, Laurie Kovacs and her husband, Frank, of East Brunswick; his brother, Antoine Hogarth and his wife Marielyn, of Florida; his granddaughter, Julianna Kovacs, as well as his extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 15th, at 10:00 AM, in The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. Interment will follow in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.
