SPOTSWOOD, NJ - FORMERLY OF SOUTHINGTON, CT - CHARLES A. VOIGT, III passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge, NJ. He was 79.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he resided in Lindenwold, NJ, and Southington, CT, before moving to Spotswood, NJ, in 2001.
Prior to retiring in 2001, Charles was a Machinist for Enflo Corporation in Maple Shade, NJ. He then moved with the company to Bristol, CT. He later opened his own company, PTFE, in New Britain, CT.
A US National Guard veteran, he served during the 1960's as a Communication Specialist.
In Connecticut, Charles was very active with the local BPOE. After relocating to Spotswood, he spent many hours/days at the Senior Center, and served as the town's liaison for the Commission on Aging. He also enjoyed a deep relationship with Ms. Nella Del Prete and her family.
Charles was predeceased by his wife, Veronica (Filipski) Voigt, in 1999.
Surviving are his son, Charles A. Voigt, IV and his wife, Kate, of Spotswood, and his grandson, Joseph M. Voigt and his wife, Amanda, of Westhampton, NJ.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 16th, 12:00 PM, at South End Cemetery, Southington, CT, under the direction of The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, East Brunswick, NJ.
