EAST BRUNSWICK - BRUCE L. CHODAK passed away at home on Saturday, March 10, 2018. He was 67.
Born in Plainfield, NJ, he grew up in South Plainfield, graduating from South Plainfield High School.
Bruce worked for AT&T in the Administrative Services Department for 29 years before retiring in 1999. He enjoyed classic rock & roll music and attended many concerts over the years. His favorite radio station was 90.5 the Night, Brookdale public radio, which he regularly supported. He was a classic car enthusiast, with a passion for 1957 T-Birds. He also was an avid antique and vintage bicycle collector.
Bruce was predeceased by his father, Frank. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon Solar Chodak. He also leaves his mother, Sophie Chodak of Wichita KS; a sister, Debra Chodak Riley of Belleair Beach, FL; and two brothers, Keith of Andover, KS, and Craig of Toms River, NJ. Also sisters-in-law, Regina Chodak and Joanne Chodak; and brother-in-law, David Riley. Bruce had several nieces and a nephew.
Bruce should be remembered for his easygoing nature, one who took all of life's challenges in stride and overcame most. He was always ready with a silly joke and took wonderful care of his rescued pets.
Donations may be made in his memory to New Beginnings Animal Rescue, 706-R Cranbury Rd., East Brunswick, 08816.
Cremation was private. Arrangements were entrusted to The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, East Brunswick.
