Alice S. Lee (née Mui) passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018, at Community Medical Center, Toms River at the age of 59 due to complications related to Multiple System Atrophy (MSA).
Born on March 4, 1958 in Hong Kong, Alice moved to the United States when she was 5 years old with her parents and siblings and grew up in Manhattan. She met the love of her life, Michael Lee through mutual friends, and got married in 1985. After getting married, she and her husband resided in East Brunswick for over 30 years. Alice was a stay at home mom after the birth of her two children, Eric and Melissa, and later a medical biller.
Alice will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 32 years, Michael Lee; son, Eric Lee; daughter, Melissa Stiers and her husband, Garrett Stiers; sisters, Anne Mui, Jane Yip and her husband, Sam Yip, Nancy Chew and her husband, Tony Chew; brother, Edwin Mui and his wife, Susan Mui. She is preceded in death by her parents Bing Chung Mui and Choi Kam Chin, and her brothers, Peter Mui and Edward Mui.
Some of Alice's favorite pastimes included reading romance and thriller novels, doing needlepoint, solving crossword puzzles, cooking, and watching her favorite athlete Roger Federer play tennis. She enjoyed monthly meetings with her women's club members for bible reading, prayers, and other lively conversations. Alice was patient, kind, and had the most gentle demeanor. Her smile was infectious and did not have a mean bone in her body.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 2-7pm at Brunswick Memorial Home.
