EAST BRUNSWICK - JOSEPH J. FRIKKER Jr. died Saturday, November 04, 2017, at St. Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was 73.
Born in Perth Amboy, he resided in North Plainfield before moving to East Brunswick 40 years ago.
Prior to retiring, he was a pipefitter for Local 9, Manalapan, where he worked for many years.
A US Army veteran, he served during the Vietnam Era from 1967-1969.
Joseph was a communicant of St. Bartholomew RC Church, East Brunswick. He was an avid fisherman and boater.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph J. Sr. and Gladys Frikker; and brother-in-law, John Simon.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Mary Ann (Volk) Frikker; a son, Kevin and his wife, Lauralee, of Lawrenceville; a daughter, Lisa Frikker-Gruss and her husband, Bradley, of Harleysville, PA; a brother, Robert and his wife, Beatrice, of Holmdel; 2 sisters, Donna Germann and her husband, William, and Sharon Simon, both of East Brunswick; and 2 grandchildren, Taylor and Jake.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 9th, 8:30 AM, at The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by a 9:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bartholomew RC Church, East Brunswick. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
