EAST BRUNSWICK - CHARLES D. WEIS died Saturday, October 28, 2017, at home. He was 84.
Born in New Brunswick, he was a lifelong resident of East Brunswick.
Prior to retiring in 1989, he worked as the superintendent of pharmaceuticals at American Cyanamid in Bound Brook for over 30 years.
A US Army veteran, he served during the Korean War from 1951-1955.
Mr. Weis was a communicant of St. Bartholomew R.C. Church, East Brunswick.
He was one of the Founding Fathers of St. Bart's Buffalo Organization. He was a member of the Milltown Rangers, as well as a member and umpire of the East Brunswick Little League.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary, in 1996.
Surviving are his companion, Marilyn; sons, Michael Weis and his wife, Debbie, of Cape Coral, FL, and James Weis of East Brunswick; daughter, Lisa Crothers and her husband, Tom, of Monroe Township; brothers, Gerald Weis and his wife, Barbara, of McKinney, TX, and John Robert Weis and his wife, Marilyn, of Burke, VA; sister, Joyce Weis of Salida, CO; and grandchildren, Kyle and Shea Crothers.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 2, at 9:15 AM, at The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bartholomew R.C. Church, East Brunswick. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
